Ingredients
Scale
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts 1.5 lbs
- Soy sauce 1/4 cup
- Honey 2 tablespoons
- Garlic, minced 3 cloves
- Ginger, grated 1 teaspoon
- Rice vinegar 1 tablespoon
- Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Cut the chicken breasts into 1-inch cubes. Place the chicken in a bowl.
- Step 2: In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Step 3: Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours.
- Step 4: Preheat your grill to medium heat. While the grill is heating, thread the marinated chicken pieces onto skewers.
- Step 5: Grill the chicken skewers for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has a slight char. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Step 6: Serve immediately and enjoy! Consider garnishing with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
- Store leftover skewers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat the skewers in a skillet with a splash of water or broth to keep them moist.
- Serve these skewers with a side of fluffy rice and steamed broccoli for a complete and satisfying meal.
- Don't skip the marinating time; it's key to tender, flavorful chicken!
