Delicious knock you naked bars recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
  • 1 (12 ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Step 2: In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until well blended and crumbly. Press the mixture into the prepared pan.
  3. Step 3: Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  4. Step 4: Remove from oven and immediately pour sweetened condensed milk evenly over the baked crust. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Step 5: Return to oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Step 6: Let cool completely before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • Store these decadent bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for longer freshness.
  • A quick zap in the microwave for 10-15 seconds will make the chocolate chips melty and gooey again, if you desire a warm treat.
  • Cut into small squares; these bars are rich, so a little goes a long way, especially when served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
  • For easier cutting, chill the bars completely and use a warm knife; the cold helps the bars hold their shape, and the warmth prevents sticking.
