Ingredients
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts: 4 (6-8 ounces each)
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder: 1 teaspoon
- Egg noodles: 12 ounces
- Chicken broth: 4 cups
- Butter: 4 tablespoons
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a large oven-safe skillet or baking dish with olive oil.
- Step 2: Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place the chicken breasts in the prepared skillet.
- Step 3: Add the uncooked egg noodles around the chicken breasts in a single layer. Pour chicken broth over the noodles and chicken.
- Step 4: Dot the noodles with butter.
- Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F or 74°C) and the noodles are tender.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat individual portions in the microwave with a splash of broth to keep the noodles moist.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese for an elevated presentation.
- To prevent the noodles from sticking, stir them gently halfway through the baking time.
