Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (13.8 oz) refrigerated cinnamon roll dough
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk or lemon juice
- Strawberry jam (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.
- Step 3: Unroll each cinnamon roll. Spread a thin layer of the strawberry cheesecake mixture evenly over each roll. Re-roll the dough tightly and cut into the original cinnamon roll slices.
- Step 4: Place the rolls into the prepared baking dish. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Step 5: While the rolls are baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk (or lemon juice) until smooth. Adjust the liquid to achieve desired consistency.
- Step 6: Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly. Drizzle with the powdered sugar glaze. You can also add a dollop of strawberry jam to each roll for extra strawberry flavor. Serve warm.
Notes
- Store leftover rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep the cream cheese frosting fresh.
- Gently reheat individual rolls in the microwave for 15-20 seconds, or until warmed through, to avoid drying them out.
- Serve these rolls warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert experience!
- For extra strawberry flavor and moisture, brush the unrolled dough with a thin layer of melted butter before adding the cheesecake filling.
