Ingredients
- Green Grapes: 37 (or more/less depending on preference)
- Water: 1 cup for washing
- Lemon Juice: 1 tablespoon (optional, for tartness)
- Granulated Sugar: 2 tablespoons (optional, for sweetness)
- Lime Zest: 1 teaspoon (optional, for flavor)
- Mint Leaves: 5-6, finely chopped (optional, for flavor)
- Sparkling Wine or Juice: For dipping (optional, variable amount)
Instructions
- Step 1: Wash the grapes thoroughly in a bowl of cold water. This removes any dirt or debris.
- Step 2: If using, in a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, sugar, lime zest, and chopped mint. Stir well to combine.
- Step 3: If using the lemon juice mixture, gently roll the washed grapes in the mixture to coat them evenly. If not using, skip this step.
- Step 4: Place the grapes in a single layer on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Ensure the grapes aren't touching each other to prevent them from freezing together.
- Step 5: Freeze the grapes for at least 3-4 hours, or preferably overnight, until they are completely frozen solid.
- Step 6: (Optional) Before serving, dip the frozen grapes in sparkling wine or juice for an extra refreshing treat. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- Store your frozen grapes in an airtight container or freezer bag for up to a month to prevent freezer burn.
- Since they're already frozen, no reheating is needed, just grab and enjoy the icy goodness!
- Serve these frozen delights as a palate cleanser between courses or as a refreshing dessert alternative.
- For the best flavor, use seedless grapes and freeze them when they're perfectly ripe, enhancing their natural sweetness!
