Ingredients
- Chicken breast: 1 pound, cut into bite-sized pieces
- Ramen noodles: 2 packages
- Chicken broth: 4 cups
- Gochujang (Korean chili paste): 2 tablespoons
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream: 1/2 cup
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Sesame oil: 1 tablespoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Marinate the chicken pieces with 1 tablespoon of gochujang and 1 tablespoon of soy sauce for at least 15 minutes.
- Step 2: In a pot, heat sesame oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
- Step 3: Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to package directions.
- Step 4: While the noodles are cooking, prepare the creamy garlic sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, heavy cream, and remaining 1 tablespoon of gochujang.
- Step 5: Once the noodles are cooked, stir in the creamy garlic sauce into the pot. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce is heated through and slightly thickened.
- Step 6: Serve immediately, garnished with your favorite toppings like green onions, sesame seeds, or a soft-boiled egg.
Notes
- Store leftover ramen separately from the broth to prevent soggy noodles, combining them when reheating.
- For best results, gently reheat leftovers on the stovetop over medium-low heat, adding a splash of broth or water if needed to loosen the sauce.
- Elevate your ramen by adding a soft-boiled egg and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds for extra richness and texture.
- Don't overcook the chicken during the initial browning stage, as it will continue to cook in the broth.
