Delicious shrimp and broccoli recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Heat vegetable oil in a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from wok and set aside.
  2. Step 2: Add broccoli florets to the wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until tender-crisp.
  3. Step 3: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and ginger.
  4. Step 4: Add the garlic to the wok and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
  5. Step 5: Add the cooked shrimp back to the wok and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for 1 minute, until heated through.
  6. Step 6: Serve immediately over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat gently in the microwave or on the stovetop, adding a splash of water or broth if needed to prevent dryness.
  • Serve this vibrant dish with a side of steamed rice and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds for extra flavor and texture.
  • For extra umami, add a teaspoon of sesame oil to the sauce mixture before adding it to the wok.
